Dreams and Wishes
This Tuesday, April 12, there will be a conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Neptune in the sign of Pisces. A conjunction means that they will appear to be at the same degree in the sky from our perspective here on earth and their vibrations blend and work together. So how will these two planets combine?
Jupiter is a planet of growth and opportunity. The energy of Jupiter is expansive, lucky, and optimistic. Neptune, on the other hand, is dreamy, idealistic, and transcendent. Neptune also dissolves barriers and can bring chaos and confusion. These planets are co-rulers of Pisces, which is the very sign in which they are meeting. So luck and dreams in the sign of sensitive, dreamy Pisces. Time to wish upon a star!
With these two planets creating an optimistic and idealistic outlook, it will be an ideal time for creative and visionary work. Philosophical and spiritual ideals may be highlighted as well. Now is an especially great time to set intentions, create a vision board, and make plans for manifesting your heart’s desire, whatever that may be. On the other hand, be careful of too much Jupiter optimism combined with the delusional energy of Neptune. There might be a compulsion to gamble or take other risks. We may also hear big news of a secret which has expanded to a point that it can no longer be controlled, like something going viral on social media.
Of course, you know me, I’m all about the tarot as well, so here’s a quick look at the astrological aspects of these two planets. Did you know that each card in the tarot deck has an astrological correspondence? Let’s take a peek.
Jupiter corresponds to the Wheel of Fortune. I had a friend who used to talk about ‘the Cosmic Tumblers of Life’ and that’s how I think of the Wheel. When it shows up in a reading, it’s usually a harbinger that the querent’s luck is about the change for the better. Neptune corresponds to the Hanging Man. In most tarot decks it’s depicted as a figure hanging by one foot, upside down. He appears to be tied to those very ‘Cosmic Tumblers’ but does not seem to be upset at the situation. A strong key to maximizing the energy of this card is the inherent change of perspective and enlightenment that comes from looking at the world from a new angle.
If we combine these cards we might get a sense that the Wheel of Fortune is getting ready to turn in a big way and there’s not much we can do about it, other than appreciate the change in luck and the change in perspective. So yes, change is coming and no, most of us are not comfortable with change. But the Cosmos, in the form of the Hanging Man, seems to be telling us to relax and enjoy the ride; who knows, we might just come out ahead on the other side of this spin of the wheel!
