Tarot To Go

One of my latests obsessions (besides Tik-Tok) is the collection of tarot apps by the amazing company “The Fool’s Dog”. I’ve had the 1910 Classic Tarot (the Rider-Waite-Smith) and Tarot Royale for some time, but I knew they had produced a number of other popular decks. A quick peek at their Tarot App Collection will show you that, to date, they have created apps for over six dozen tarot decks. Here’s a link: Fool's Dog Tarot Apps. I love having some of my favorite decks in my phone!

Besides the 1910 Classic, they offer many popular decks: The Mythic, the Paulina, the Housewives, Tarot of the Holy Light, the Maat, and the Anna K and many, many more. There’s also a great collection of decks by one of my all-time favorite deck creators, Ciro Marchetti: Tarot Royale, Tarot of Dreams, and the Legacy of the Divine Tarot as well as the Gilded Reverie Lenormand and the Oracle of Visions.

One thing that I like about these apps is that they do not try to do the reading for you. Instead, they provide the tools to handle electronic images of tarot cards so that you can shuffle them, draw them, lay them in a spread, and do your own reading. You can even save the readings and journal about them!

For people who are still learning tarot, the images are clickable and provide a choice between a brief, keyword style of interpretation or a more lengthy one. No matter how many years I’ve been studying tarot, I always like to read what others have to say about card meanings. I’m constantly finding my grasp of the energy and meaning of each card enhanced.

The truth is, I can yack and yack all day long here about these apps, but nothing gives you a better idea of what they’re like than actually seeing them in action. Every time I teach a tarot class and show my students how this app works, quite a few of them go grab the app on the spot. You can do this for free by going to wherever you buy apps and searching for “Fool’s Dog Tarot Sampler”. It’s an app the uses all of the features I mentioned using cards from all of the different deck apps.

If you decide to buy a deck app, it’s very affordable. I hope that if you do, you enjoy it as much as I do!!!
