Solar Eclipse in Aries

As I began to write this article the Moon-eclipsed Sun was rising over the eastern horizon which means that with the Sun and the Moon in Aries, the Rising Sign was in Aries as well for people on the east coast. Add the partial solar eclipse to the mix and we are practically on fire with all of that Aries energy! The majority of the planets are lined up right behind the Sun and Moon in the sign of Pisces, including the North Node and its implication of destiny; that’s a lot of energy in one part of the sky!

So what does this partial eclipse portend?  Well, eclipses can be harbingers of big change, often amplifying the energy of the sign in which they occur. They invite us to confront change and step into the future, and no sign does this better than Aries, being  the very beginning of the zodiac calendar. Like the energy of the first rush of spring, it moves us toward new events with and irrepressible vitality. Our passions and desires – and the will to pursue them – are likely to take center stage. This eclipse brings powerful, transformative energy, urging action and new beginnings.

I find it useful to take a look at the area in a chart where the eclipse is taking place. If you know your chart you can find the place where Aries is and look to see what house it’s in. (To create a copy of your chart, go to this site - https://www.astro-seek.com/ - and click on ‘free horoscopes/birth natal chart online calculator’ – you must know your time of birth). Here’s how it influences each house:

1st House (Self & Identity) – A major personal transformation, boost in self-esteem, or shift in appearance and attitude.

2nd House (Money & Values) – Financial changes, new income opportunities, or focus on making the most of assets and resources.

3rd House (Communication & Learning) – New ways of thinking, significant conversations, a desire to stretch one’s intellect, or shifts in relationships with siblings or neighbors.

4th House (Home & Family) – Changes in living situations, family dynamics, focus on safety and security, or a fresh emotional foundation.

5th House (Creativity & Romance) – New romantic interests, creative inspiration, or revelations about your children, shifts in self-expression.

6th House (Work & Health) – Job transitions, focus on a health regimen, or changes in daily routines.

7th House (Partnerships & Relationships) – New relationships, changes in existing partnerships, or shifts in relationship dynamics.

8th House (Transformation & Shared Resources) – Financial shifts, deep emotional healing, or spiritual awakenings.

9th House (Expansion & Travel) – New educational pursuits, opportunities for long-distance travel, or shifts in philosophy or beliefs.

10th House (Career & Public Image) – Major career developments, shifts in life direction, evaluation of career satisfaction, or increased recognition.

11th House (Community & Goals) – New friendships, shifts in social circles, revised long-term aspirations or a strong focus on humanitarian issues.

12th House (Subconscious & Spirituality) – Deep healing, spiritual awakenings, or the need for solitude and introspection.

This eclipse ignites bold action wherever it lands so embrace the changes! Aries embodies the phrase ‘carpe diem’ – Seize the Day. Or as Nike says, “Just Do It”.
